# Kyma API Models

> The full Kyma catalog: 83 models behind one OpenAI-compatible endpoint — 38 language/reasoning, 16 image, 11 video, 18 audio. Pass the ID in the `model` field. Every model is reachable with the same API key.

## How to pick

- `Released` is the day the model's creator shipped it, not the day Kyma listed it. Sorted newest first.
- `Capabilities` lists what the model accepts and supports: tools (function calling), vision (image input), reasoning, caching (10% cached input rate).
- Aliases like `best`, `fast`, `code`, `cheap` resolve to a current model — use them when you want the category rather than a specific SKU. See https://kymaapi.com/llms-full.txt for the alias table.
- If a model is unavailable upstream, the gateway fails over automatically. You do not need retry logic for provider outages.
